Being able to change the way Schnuzzle smells means every time you replace the disc, your dog experiences Schnuzzle as a new toy. It’s Netflix for their nose!

Our scent combinations are long lasting and engage with your pet like nothing else. You can’t always take your dog to the park but with Schnuzzle you can bring the adventure to them.

You and your pet will think Schnuzzle is magic, but you should know Schnuzzle is still bound by the laws and limitations of this realm.

Your pets enjoyment of Schnuzzle relies on the use of your common sense. If you feel you lack, or have been told you lack common sense, please consider asking for help before you Schnuzzle.

Your Schnuzzle is not indestructible. Inspect your Schnuzzle regularly. If your Schnuzzle is damaged, take it away from your pet immediately.

1. Make sure the scent disc is removed.
2. Hand wash your Schnuzzle with warm water, rinse and leave to dry or
3. Place your Schnuzzle into the bag (provided) and wash with coloured clothes. (Do not tumble dry)

1. Scent discs are harmless if chewed.
2. Take scent disc away from your pet.
3. Insert another scent disc into your Schnuzzle and begin a new scent journey.

Schnuzzle holds a scent disc that has layers of different microencapsulated scents. These unique scent combinations burst into life when the disc is pushed into the Schnuzzle ball. 

The disc can be inserted into either end and go into either of the two slots that make up the cross at the centre of the Schnuzzle ball. If one slot is too tight just use the other slot or squeeze the ball on the sides when inserting the disc. Push the disc all the way into the ball until the edge of the disc starts to poke out the other side of the slot it is entering. The disc is now activated and emitting amazing scents for your pet to experience.

Don’t just put the ball on the ground and walk away. Playing with your Schnuzzle is the best way to increase your pet’s enjoyment and benefit of the scent combinations. Push it, roll it, nudge it…Schnuzzle it.

Schnuzzle is suitable for all dogs, even puppies. Because Schnuzzle releases scent your best friend doesn’t have to pick it up in order to enjoy it. Just pushing Schnuzzle around causes micro movements (between the ball and disc) that releases more scent from the disc inside.

Oh, the drama of scents and dogs! But guess what? It’s a non-issue for our four-legged pals. Dogs live for sniffing—it’s their jam! Thinking they'll be frustrated because they can't catch a scent is just us humans projecting our thoughts onto them. There's no kibble surprise here, so they’re not expecting a food reward. Schnuzzle is all about engaging their brains, not their bellies!

If the disc bends try turning it slightly before attempting to insert it again. Also try squeezing the Schnuzzle ball on the sides as you push the disc in. If it still continues to bend and you can’t get it in, discard the disc by placing it in the bin and insert another scent adventure into your Schnuzzle.

Don’t worry. The scent disc is not toxic and does not pose any more danger than a small piece of cardboard.

Scent discs are made from compressed paper with a waterproof coating. They pose no more significant risk to your dog than a piece of cardboard of the same size.

How Long Does the Ball Last?

It depends! We design all our toys for long-term durability and versatile play, but the ball's lifespan will vary based on your dog's jaw strength and play style. Over time, you might notice signs of wear and tear. If that happens sooner than you'd like, just give us a shout!

Dogs chew for a variety of reasons—first and foremost, instinct! Chewing provides both entertainment and stress relief. For younger dogs, it can help with mouth pain associated with teething while also helping to keep older dogs' jaws healthy. But at the end of the day, it is not our job to ask "why." Our job is to serve at the whim of our four-legged overlords and give them daily scent journeys – We do say it's the Netflix of the nose.

Schnuzzle scents get your dog thinking. Dogs remember the scents they have experienced and each time they smell them it creates a thought process. Where have I smelt this before? What is that smell? Smells also bond themselves to events, places, people etc. Humans experience scent memories and so do dogs. 

Great news! Your dog is quite the genius. Although we'd prefer they didn't take out the disc, it's not a big deal safety-wise. If they do, just check if it's still intact; you can pop it back in. The Schnuzzle Ball has two slots, one snugger than the other. Giving the ball a gentle squeeze on both sides of the snug slot makes it easier to put the disc back. And that snug slot? It's designed to make it tougher for your pup to take the disc out.
